- Light vehicles up to 6 years and heavy vehicles up to 8 years under DS 29836. Accident-damaged and petrol-to-LPG converted vehicles are banned. From 1 January 2026, DS 28963 sets the import authorisation route.
- Do Chinese left-hand-drive cars work in Bolivia?
- Bolivia drives on the right, so a left-hand-drive car is the correct vehicle type: the steering wheel is on the side the road requires. Every car we ship is left-hand drive. Light vehicles up to six years and heavy vehicles up to eight years are admitted under DS 29836; accident-damaged and petrol-to-LPG converted vehicles are banned, and from 1 January 2026 DS 28963 sets the import authorisation route. Enforcement happens at the land border, which is where an over-age unit is turned back.
